ADVERTISEMENTREQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICESGCCI, INC. is requesting subcontractor bids for the Old Mill Elementary School Modernization, a lease-lease back project, which consists of the following scope: * Replace 4 existing exterior drinking fountains with new accessible H/L dual fountains with integrated bottle fillers. * Renovate two single occupancy restrooms to meet ADA code in the main classroom building. including relocating fixtures and accessories. * Relocate restroom accessories to meet accessibility clearance requirements in the main classroom building. * Playground upgrades include replacement of the basketball hoops and backboards. * Remove and replace the Northwest play structure rated for K, 1, & 2 grade, along with the sandbox. The new play structure will include a flush curb, PIP safety surfacing, and enhanced landscaping between the new play structure and school perimeter fence. It will also include a new retaining wall and integrated fence above the wall. * Replacement of 12 classroom furnace units in the main classroom building. This includes new relief vents on from the ceiling of the classroom penetrating the roof. * Resizing/relocation of the existing mechanical closets in the classrooms in the main classroom building to make room for the new furnace units. * New condensate lines for all new classroom furnace units in the main classroom building. * Replacement of the 4 furnaces in the Multi-Purpose Building and 2 Bard units in the portable buildings. * Electrical/fire alarm/fire sprinkler renovations associated with the mechanical closets enlargement in the main classroom building. * New exterior fire alarm notification device required by code for the new play structure at Portable P-1 Interested subcontractors shall submit bids on or before March 10, 2026 by 2:00 PM, to GCCI, INC, 4701 Old Redwood Highway, Suite 1, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, Attn: Brandon Gentry. Bids will be accepted via email at brandon@gcciinc.com. Each subcontractor is responsible to ensure that the bid is received by March 10, 2026 by 2:00 PM. GCCI, INC. will award the subcontracts based on the best value criteria permitted under Education Code § 17406 and as authorized by the District's governing board. Each subcontractor's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time it provides its proposal and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. Each subcontractor shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. All contractors will have to comply with skilled and trained workforce requirements pursuant to Public Contract Code sections 2600 et seq. and Education Code section 17407.5 and will be required to submit monthly reporting of apprenticeship hours worked along with graduate records of staff. All contractors are to comply with apprenticeship requirements as outlined in California Labor Code Section 1777.5 and 1777.7 All Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and steel subcontractors must be prequalified with the District.
