ADVERTISEMENT REQUEST FOR BIDS TO PERFORM SUBCONTRACTOR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES GCCI, INC. is requesting subcontractor bids for the Park Elementary School Modernization, a leaselease back project, which consists of the following: Replace 5 existing (2 interior, 3 exterior) drinking fountains with new accessible H/L dual fountains with integrated bottle fillers. Relocation of restroom accessories to meet accessibility clearance requirements. Relocation of restroom plumbing fixtures to meet accessibility clearance requirements. Playground upgrades include replacement of the basketball hoops and backboards. Remove and replace the west play structure rated for TK, along with the sandbox. The new play structure will include a flush curb, pour in place safety surfacing, and enhanced landscaping between the new play structure and school perimeter fence. It will also include a new retaining wall and some improvements to the adjacent existing ADA ramp to meet code. Replacement of the HVAC unit at the Room 17 Portable Building. Electrical improvements include new lighting as required for egress or associated with the scope above and below. Replacement of the composition shingle roofing on Building A2. Includes some additional insulation in the attic space. Remove and replace sheet metal cap flashing w/ new sheet metal cap flashing, standing seam clip & concealed wind clips. Replace existing damaged fence on Northwest quadrant of campus with new 6'high black vinyl clad chain link fencing. Also replace one access gate with an ADA compliant gate. Replacement of select fire alarm devices to meet current code, installation of new devices as required and replacement of smoke detectors in classrooms with new smoke/co detectors as needed. Fire riser repair and replacement of select riser equipment. Completion of the campus fire loop and addition of 2 new fire hydrants on campus, new post indicator valve and backflow preventers on campus. This includes associated retaining wall and fence work. Interested subcontractors shall submit bids on or before March 5, 2026 by 2:00 PM , to GCCI, INC, 4701 Old Redwood Highway, Suite 1, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, Attn: Brandon Gentry. Bids will be accepted via email at brandon@gcciinc.com Each subcontractor is responsible to ensure that the bid is received by March 5, 2026 by 2:00 PM. GCCI, INC. will award the subcontracts based on the best value criteria permitted under Education Code � 17406 and as authorized by the District's governing board. Each subcontractor's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time it provides its proposal and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. Each subcontractor shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. All contractors will have to comply with skilled and trained workforce requirements pursuant to Public Contract Code sections 2600 et seq. and Education Code section 17407.5 and will be required to submit monthly reporting of apprenticeship hours worked along with graduate records of staff. All contractors are to comply with apprenticeship requirements as outlined in California Labor Code Section 1777.5 and 1777.7 All Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and steel subcontractors must be prequalified with the District.
