CITY OF SUNNYVALE NOTICE INVITING BIDS Invitation for Bids No. PW26-19 EVELYN AVENUE MULTI-USE TRAIL DPW Project No. TR-23-02 SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Sunnyvale via PB, a web-based vendor and electronic bid management system for the City (https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/75302/portal-home). Bidders must electronically upload bids to the City's Vendor Portal prior to the time and date set for receiving bids as stated on the cover page of this bid invitation or any modifying Addenda. Specifically, bidders must upload the completed Bid Form, together with any required attachments or explanatory materials, and a copy of the Bid Security to the City of Sunnyvale's web-based and bid management system, https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/75302/portal-home, before 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27. All bids received by the Bid Submittal Due Date will be publicly opened and unsealed automatically by the City's bid management system on the Bid Submittal Due Date after 3:00 p.m. The bid results will automatically be posted to the City's bid management system, and will be available to those indicating interest in participating, and read for performing work as follows: Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as "EVELYN AVENUE MULTI-USE TRAIL, Project No. TR-23-02" consisting of installing a Multi-Use Trail on the north side of West Evelyn Avenue from South Bernardo Avenue to Mathilda Place and connections to cross-street bike and pedestrian facilities. Multi-use trail shall include AC grinding, and AC overlay. In addition: minor concrete work, curb ramps replacement, AC pavement, slurry seal on AC pavement, drainage facilities, bioretention areas, signing and striping, adjusting utility boxes to finished grade, planting and irriga tion, signal and conduit work, according to plans and specifications prepared by the City of Sunnyvale and according to the contract documents. Project is to be completed within a total maximum of two hundred sixty (260) working days. Bid documents can be obtained at a cost of $176.00, shipped at bidder's expense upon presentation of bidder's shipping account number. Pursuant to the provisions of the California Labor Code Section 6707, if applicable to this job, each bid submitted in response to this Notice Inviting Bids shall contain, as a bid item, adequate sheeting, shoring, and bracing, or equivalent method, for the protection of life and limb in trenches and open excavation, which shall conform to applicable safety orders. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, for monies earned by the Contractor and withheld by the City of Sunnyvale to ensure the performance of the contract, the Contractor may, at his or her option, choose to substitute securities meeting the requirements of Section 22300. To be considered, all bidders shall: Be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project. The general class or type of work called for under the Contract requires a class "A" or "C-12" license. Perform with their own organizations work amounting to at least (fifty) percentage (50.0%) of the contract price, except specialty items. Have completed within the last five (5) years a minimum of four (4) projects involving work of similar type and complexity, each project valued at not less than $1,500,000.00.
