CITY OF SUNNYVALE NOTICE INVITING BIDS Invitation for Bids No. PW26-02 PLAZA DEL SOL PHASE II DPW Project No. PR-21-26 SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Sunnyvale via PB, a web-based vendor and electronic bid management system for the City (https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/75302/portal-home). Bidders must electronically upload bids to the City's Vendor Portal prior to the time and date set for receiving bids as stated on the cover page of this bid invitation or any modifying Addenda. Specifically, bidders must upload the completed Bid Form, together with any required attachments or explanatory materials, and a copy of the Bid Security to the City of Sunnyvale's web-based and bid management system, https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/75302/portal-home, before 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026. All bids received by the Bid Submittal Due Date will be publicly opened and unsealed automatically by the City's bid management system on the Bid Submittal Due Date after 3:00 p.m. The bid results will automatically be posted to the City's bid management system, and will be available to those indicating interest in participating, and read for performing work as follows: Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work necessary and incidental to the completion of the project known as "PLAZA DEL SOL PHASE II , PR-21-26" consisting of demoli- tion, erosion control, waterproofing, grading, drainage, utilities, irri gation, electrical, lighting, misters, pavement, curbs, walls, site fur nishings, soil preparation, planting, fiber optic and Wi-Fi wireless ac cess points, minor coordination with the City's public artist, and oth er miscellaneous work, complete in place and ready for its intend ed use, according to plans and specifications prepared by the City of Sun nyvale and according to the contract documents. Project is to be completed within a total maximum of one hundred eighty (180) working days. An OPTIONAL pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday May 20th at 10:00AM at Plaza del Sol located at 200 W. Evelyn Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. .Attendance of the pre-bid conference is NOT REQUIRED and will be for the purpose of showing site conditions, since the site is not open to the public. Bid documents can be obtained at a cost of $85.00, shipped at bidder's expense upon presentation of bidder's shipping account number. Pursuant to the provisions of the California Labor Code Section 6707, if applicable to this job, each bid submitted in response to this Notice Inviting Bids shall contain, as a bid item, adequate sheeting, shoring, and bracing, or equivalent method, for the protection of life and limb in trenches and open excavation, which shall conform to applicable safety orders. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, for monies earned by the Contractor and withheld by the City of Sunnyvale to ensure the performance of the contract, the Contractor may, at his or her option, choose to substitute securities meeting the requirements of Section 22300. To be considered, all bidders shall: Be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project. The general class or type of work called for under the Contract requires a class "A" license. Perform with their own organizations work amounting to at least thirty percent (30.0%) of the contract price, except specialty items.
