DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS MILL VALLEY, CALIFORNIA NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OF BIDS Project No. PW261 2026 Preventative Maintenance Project Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Mill Valley Department of Public Works, 26 Corte Madera Avenue, Mill Valley, California 94941, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday March 19, 2026. Proposals will be collected by City staff at 2:00 p.m. and will be opened and read publicly. Work shall be done in accordance with official plans and specifications, which are on file at the City of Mill Valley and are available at no cost to the Contractor on the City's website https://www.cityofmillvalley.org/772/BidsRFPs Project Description: The proposed scope of work includes roadway preventative maintenance treatments of various streets in the City of Mill Valley. As outlined in the schedule of bid items, this work includes, but is not limited to, implementation of storm water pollution and prevention, traffic control; base repair dig outs; application of crack seal, slurry seal; restoration of striping, markers, crosswalks and legends; and all other work related to roadway preventative maintenance treatments and restoring the street striping, and installing new striping as specified in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. The Engineer's Estimate for this project's Base Bid is $1,530,000 (Rounded to the nearest $10,000). A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the City of Mill Valley shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The City of Mill Valley reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities.
