DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS MILL VALLEY, CALIFORNIA NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OF BIDSProject No. PW25-23 2026 SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Mill Valley Department of Public Works, 26 Corte Madera Avenue, Mill Valley, California 94941, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March17, 2026. Proposals will be collected by City staff at 2:00 p.m. and will be opened and read publicly.Work shall be done in accordance with official plans and specifications, which are available at no cost to the Contractor on the City’s website http://www.cityofmillvalley.gov/772/Bids-RFPs.Project Description: Project Description: The proposed work includes the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers on and within several streets in the City of Mill Valley, which includes, but is not limited to, implementation of water pollution control plan; traffic control; potholing to locate utilities; asphalt removal; removal and replacement of concrete curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and driveways; clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, placement and compaction of aggregate base; replacement of sanitary sewer pipelines by open trenching, pipe bursting and Cast in Place Pipe (CIPP); rehabilitation of reconnection and repair/replacement of sewer laterals; placement of asphalt concrete pavement; applying striping, and markers; and all other work as shown on the Plans, as specified in the Special Provisions, and as directed by the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. The Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $1,580,000. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid amount payable to the City of Mill Valley shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose proposal complies with the prescribed requirements, and will be within thirty (30) days after receipt of proposals. The City of Mill Valley reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities.
