SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2062 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AMENDING CHAPTER 9.19, ENTITLED "SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL AND EDIBLE FOOD RECOVERY," CHAPTER 11.04, ENTITLED "ENCROACHMENTS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY," AND CHAPTER 12.260, ENTITLED "INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AMENDMENTS" OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE This Summary concerns a proposed Ordinance of the City Council of the City of San Rafael, designated as Ordinance No. 2062 which will amend Titles 9.19, 11.04, and 12.260 of the City of San Rafael Municipal Code concerning solid waste and encroachments on the public right of way. Ordinance No. 2062 is scheduled for adoption by the San Rafael City Council at its regular meeting of May 4, 2026. The City Clerk has been directed to publish this Summary pursuant to City Charter and California Government Code section 36933(c)(1). SUMMARY OF AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL CODE This Ordinance would amend the San Rafael Municipal Code by amending Title 9 (Health and Sanitation), Title 11 (Public Works), and Title 12 (Building Regulations) of the Municipal Code of the City Of San Rafael, by: 1) amending Sections 9.19.070(B), 9.19.280, 9.19.310, 9.19.360, 9.19.370, and 9.19.380; 2) amending Sections 11.04.020 and 11.04.030.020; and repealing Section 12.260.020; herein and adopting Findings that the Ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act Pursuant to CEQA Guideline 15061(b)(3) and supporting the amendments to the Codes.
