------------------------------------------------------------------ NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENT 26-02CITYWIDE Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Economic Development Commission of the City of Duarte will conduct a public hearing on May 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Conference Room at 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte, California, to consider the following:Municipal Code Amendment 26-02: A City initiated request to amend Chapter 19.42 (Signs), including Sections 19.42.100 and 19.42.140, to update signage requirements related to the Commercial Freeway Zone. The proposed amendment to the Duarte Development Code is exempt per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3)—common sense exemption, that applies to projects which do not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment.Interested parties may participate in person at the hearing or by submitting written comments to Planning Staff by the close of business on the hearing date. All written comments will be provided to the Commission for their consideration. Please be advised that if you challenge the City’s action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at or prior to the Hearing.Written correspondence may be mailed to Duarte City Hall, Community Development Department, at 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA 91010 or sent via email to mabdulahad@cityofduarte.ca.gov.
