NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGDUARTE CITY COUNCILMUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENT 26-01 Notice is hereby given that the City Council the City of Duarte will conduct a public hearing on May 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 1600 Huntington Drive, Duarte, California, to consider the following: Municipal Code Amendment 26-01: A City-initiated request to amend Chapter 19.38 (Off-Street Parking Regulations and Design) of the Duarte Development Code (DDC), including Section 19.38.050 (Off-street parking space requirements), and Table 3-4 to update development standards related to single-family residences and off-street parking requirements and to bring the Development Code into conformance with State Law. On April 20, 2026, the Planning Commission approved Planning Commission Resolution 26-04, recommending that the City Council adopt Municipal Code Amendment 26-01. Environmental Determination: The proposed amendment to the DDC is exempt per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3) (common sense exemption) that applies to projects which do not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Any interested party may participate by submitting written comments to the Planning Staff prior to the hearing and those comments will be provided to the City Council for consideration. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only the issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
