Public hearing for the Final Budget for FY 2026-27.

HUMBOLDT LAFCO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Humboldt Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the City of Eureka Council Chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka, CA, to consider the following: Final Budget for FY 2026-27. The Commission will consider adopting a Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27 in accordance with California Government Code Section 56381(c). The overall operating costs as provided in the final budget will allow the Commission to fulfill its regulatory and planning responsibilities, including preparing municipal service reviews and sphere of influence updates for cities and special districts. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and be heard on the item listed above. The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation. Those wishing to participate remotely should consult the meeting agenda for the video conference link or call-in information.
