Public hearing for the 2025 Eureka Urban Water Management Plan.

CITY OF EUREKA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public comment and testimony regarding the draft of the 2025 Eureka Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP). The City will hold this public meeting in compliance with requirements of the California Department of Water Resources pursuant to the Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) Act and the Water Conservation Bill of 2009 to solicit the input of the public. The UWMP Act (California Water Code �10610 et seq.) requires urban water suppliers to report, describe, and evaluate the following four areas: Water deliveries and uses; Water supply sources; Efficient water uses; and Demand Management Measures (DMMs), including implementation strategy and schedule. Beginning May 11, 2026, copies of the UWMP will be available for public review during regular business hours at the front counter of Eureka City offices: Eureka City Hall 531 K Street - First Floor Eureka, CA 95501-1146 Following the public review period, the City of Eureka will hold a public hearing to consider all comments received and adoption of the 2025 UWMPP. This hearing will be held at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting scheduled for June 2, 2026 at 6 PM.. Details to join the meeting will be posted on the agenda for the June 2, 2026 meeting at the City of Eureka website City of (www.eurekaca.gov/265/Water-Conservation). If you are unable attend the meeting and would like to submit a written comment, your comment may be submitted to the City Clerk prior to 4:00 p.m. on June 2, 2026.
