Public hearing for annexation proposal in Hanford on March 25, 2026.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Local Agency Formation Commission of Kings County to consider the proposed:
1. LAFCO Case No. 25-04 – City of Hanford Annexation No. 166The proposal is to annex one area totaling 93.56 acres to the City of Hanford. The area will be detached from the Kings River Conservation District and the Excelsior-Kings River Resource Conservation District. The 93.56 acres is located South of Fargo Ave, North of Leland Way & West of 9 ¼ Ave. Properties are in the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 18 South, Range 22 East, M.D.B. & M.
Said hearing will be held at 1:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the Kings County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 1400 W. Lacey Blvd., Hanford, CA.
At the hearing, the Commission will consider oral and written testimony by any interested person or affected agency and the reports of the Executive Officer. In compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the City of Hanford has determined that the project listed above will not have a significant effect on the environment. LAFCO as a “Responsible Agency” will consider the City determination on CEQA for the item above before any action is taken.
