PUBLIC HEARING NOTICECITY OF HANFORD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM 2026–2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLANNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hanford will hold a public hearing to receive public comments and consider approval of the 2026–2027 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.The City of Hanford anticipates receiving $565,973 in Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $139,233.60 in prior-year resources, including program income, for a total amount of $705,206.60.Proposed funds include $9,000 for the Homeless Point-in-Time Count/LINC; $72,780.99 for senior services; $12,000 for fair housing services; $12,000 for recreation programs serving youth and seniors; $258,531.61 for home repair programs, including emergency and minor repairs; $28,000 for housing rehabilitation services activity delivery; and $113,194 for planning and administration.An annual allocation of $200,000 has been designated for a five-year project benefiting the Kings Community Action Food Service Center; the project is currently in its third year.Alternate projects, to be funded if additional funds become available, include $200,000 for a home repair program and $200,000 for first-time homebuyer assistance.The draft Annual Action Plan will be available for public review for 30 days beginning April 1, 2026.Written comments may be submitted to the City of Hanford, Community Development Department, 317 N.
