NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGBEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THECITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the following items: * 1. APPEAL OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S APPROVAL OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 23-014 (HBCSD MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS BUILDING – Continued from July 23, 2024) Applicant: Mario Hernandez Property Owner: Huntington Beach City School District Request: To construct an approximately 7,510 sq. ft. maintenance and operations building at an overall height of 17’-6” at an existing school district office site. Location: 8750 Dorsett Drive (south of Dorsett Drive, between Poston Lane and Miramar Lane) City Contact: Jason Kelley1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Item #1 is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act. ON FILE : Copies of the proposed requests are on file in the Community Development Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California 92648, for inspection by the public. Copies of staff reports will be available to interested parties at City Hall or online at http://www.huntingtonbeachca.gov on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are invited to attend said hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the applications as outlined above. If you challenge the Planning Commission’s action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at, or prior to, the public hearing. Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is filed to the City Clerk by you or by an interested party. Said appeal must be in writing and must set forth in detail the action and grounds by which the applicant or interested party deems himself aggrieved . Said appeal must be accompanied by a filing fee of Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-One Dollars ($2941.00) if the appeal is filed by a single family dwelling property owner appealing the decision on his own property and Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-One Dollars ($4,721.00) if the appeal is filed by any other party. The appeal shall be submitted to the City Clerk within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the Planning Commission’s action, unless otherwise noted.
