NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGBEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THECITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the following item: * 1. APPEAL OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S APPROVAL OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 25-027 (DISTRACTIONS LOUNGE) Appellant: City Council Member Chad Williams Applicant: Peter Blied Property Owner: MBSB Legacy LP Request: To permit the onsite sale, service, and consumption of alcohol (ABC Type 48 License) within an existing approximately 1,250 sq. ft. establishment. Location: 16612 Beach Blvd, Suite C, 92647 (east of Beach Boulevard and south of Heil Avenue) City Contact: Marco Cuevas Jr. 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Item #1 is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act. ON FILE : Copies of the proposed request are on file in the Community Development Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California 92648, for inspection by the public. Copies of staff reports will be available to interested parties at City Hall or online at http://www.huntingtonbeachca.gov on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are invited to attend said hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the applications as outlined above. If you challenge the Planning Commission’s action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at, or prior to, the public hearing. Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is filed to the City Clerk by you or by an interested party. Said appeal must be in writing and must set forth in detail the action and grounds by which the applicant or interested party deems himself aggrieved . Said appeal must be accompanied by a filing fee of Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-One Dollars ($2941.00) if the appeal is filed by a single family dwelling property owner appealing the decision on his own property and Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-One Dollars ($4,721.00) if the appeal is filed by any other party.
