NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO CONSIDER ADOPTING ORDINANCE NO. 2026-07 TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR PERMITS, INSPECTIONS, PLAN REVIEWS, OR OTHER SERVICES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on May 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, will hold a public hearing to consider adopting Ordinance No. 2026-07, to establish fees for permits, inspections, plan reviews, and other services, pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 13916, and other applicable laws. The public hearing will be held at the above date and time in the Board Chambers, in the Contra Costa County Administration Building, located at 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. Each of the fees set forth in Ordinance No, 2026-07 is calculated to recover, and does not exceed, the District's reasonable costs for performing service or activity for which the fee will be charged, as determined by a March 31, 2026, "Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fee Study" prepared by NBS Government Finance Group. A copy of the fee study and other information indicating the amount of cost, or estimated cost, required to provide the services and the cost of enforcing regulations for which the fees will be charged, and the revenue sources anticipated to pay for those costs of service or enforcement, including general fund revenues, will be made available for inspection at least 10 days before the hearing at both the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Administrative Offices, located at 4005 Port Chicago Highway, Suite 250, Concord, California, and at the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office, located at 1025 Escobar Street, First Floor, Martinez, California.
