OCEANSIDE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSIONNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Community Development Commission of the City of Oceanside will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on WEDNESDAY, MAY 06, 2026 AT 6:00 PM , or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, California, to consider the following: ADOPTION OF AMENDED TEXT TO ARTICLE 12 OF THE DOWNTOWN ZONING ORDINANCE THAT ADDRESSES DOWNTOWN DENSITY AND INCLUDES MODIFICATIONS SUGGESTED BY THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION. The proposed project is categorically exempt pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Article 5, Section 15061(b)(3), under the common-sense exemption that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. Any local decision on a project located within the CCC appeal jurisdiction may also be appealed to the California Coastal Commission (CC) within 10 working days of CCC receipt of the City’s Notice of Final Action (NOFA). The CCC San Diego District Office is located at 7575 Metropolitan Drive, Suite 103, San Diego, CA 92108-4402. The phone number is (619) 767-2370.
