Palos Verdes Peninsula News Miraleste Recreation and Park District Lighting and Landscaping Assessment District #1 RESOLUTION #20263 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIRALESTE RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE CONTINUATION OF LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPING DISTRICT NUMBER ONE FOR FISCAL 20262027. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIRALESTE RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Board of Directors hereby finds that landscaping maintenance of certain areas within the District is necessary to preserve the environment and aesthetic beauty of the District and is in the general public interest, and therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 Article 4, Section 22565 ET. SEQ. of the California Streets and Highways Code, hereby declares its intention to continue its Landscaping Maintenance Assessment District and to levy and collect assessment in fiscal 20262027 pursuant to said Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. The specific improvements therefore are described in Exhibit A on file and posted at the office of the Miraleste Recreation and Park District, located at 19 Miraleste Plaza in the city of Rancho Palos Verdes, California and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2: The assessment district to be benefited by said improvement and to be assessed to pay costs and expenses thereof is known as Miraleste Recreation and Park District, LLA District No. 1' and shall be comprised of the area within Exhibit A on file and posted at the office of the Miraleste Recreation and Park District and incorporated herein by reference. Section 3: The Board of Directors did heretofore adopt its Resolution No. 20262 accepting the Engineers Report prepared and filed pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. Said report is on file and posted at the office of the Miraleste Recreation and Park District and reference is hereby made to said report for a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessment district and any zones therein, and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the district. Section 4: The Board of Directors hereby gives notice that on June 1, 2026, 7:30 PM at 19 Miraleste Plaza, Rancho Palos Verdes, California a hearing by the Board of Directors will be held on the question of the continuation of the Miraleste Recreation and Park District, LLA District No. 1, a final revision of the budget for that district and a levy of the proposed assessment in connection therewith for the fiscal year 20262027. Section 5: The ViceChairman of the Board of Directors shall give notice of the aforesaid time and date of the hearing by causing this Resolution of Intention to be published and posted to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Acts of 1972, and in particular as provided in Section 22625 and 22626, inclusive, thereof.
