LEGAL NOTICE FOR DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLIES A Timber Harvesting Plan (THP) will be submitted to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). This THP is located in Shasta County in the vicinity of Viola, CA. THe proposed harvest areahas the following legal locations: Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 32, & 33 T31N R03E MDBM and Sections 03 & 04 T30N R03E MDBM. THis notice is to request information about surface domestic water supplies from Class, I, II, and III watercourses that recieve drainage from the THP area and are within 1,000 feet of the THP boundary. The watercourse that may be affected is Bailey Creek in Sections 29, 32, & 33 T31N R03E MDBM, which is a Class I watercourse. If you have any information about surface domestic water supplies from this watercourse or tributaries, please contact (within 10 days): Kobree Penney Sierra Pacific Industries Lassen District Forester PO Box 496014 Redding, CA 96049 (530)789-8759 Any responses will be submitted with the THP to CAL FIRE for their review. If any surface domestic supplies are noted within 1,000 feet downstream of the THP boundary, the THP shall contain necessary mitigations to protect the water supply.
