NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting of the Redding City Council on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers located at 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, California, the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP APPLICATION S-2024-00740, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PLAN PD-2024-00741, and REZONING APPLICATION RZ-2024-00795, by J&L Custom Homes, to subdivide a 1.65-acre parcel with a planned development plan on property located at 4363 Churn Creek Road into 16 parcels, and to rezone the property to include the “PD” Planned Development Overlay District. On March 24, 2026, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and, upon conclusion, recommended that the City Council determine the necessary findings for approval are in evidence, determine the project is categorically exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act, and approve Tentative Subdivision Map Application S-2024-00740, Rezoning Application RZ-2024-00795 and Planned Development Plan Application PD-2024-00741, Churn Creek Commons Subdivision and Planned Development, subject to the amended draft conditions of approval. Persons wishing to comment on the above-referenced application are invited to attend the public hearing and/or submit written comments. Written comments or questions may be directed to Assistant Planner Drew Morgan, by email at dmorgan@cityofredding.gov, or by telephone at 530-225-4407. At said time and place, persons interested may appear before the City Council and be heard thereon.
