*********************************************************************** NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON BENEFIT ASSESSMENT/SERVICE CHARGE REPORTS FOR CSA 7 ZONE 1 - BOULDER CREEK ************************************************************************ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. or thereafter, in the Board Chambers, Room 525, County Governmental Center, 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, California, the Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of a resolution confirming the 2026/2027 benefit assessment/ service charge reports listing the charges to be levied on each parcel based on the rate chart found below: CSA No. CSA Name Supervisor District Rate Code 2026-27 Rates $ per year 7 Boulder Creek Zone 1 5 Condominium $ 2,896.74 Single Family $ 3,212.96 Commercial Flat Rate $ 2,216.82 Commercial per HCF* $ 10.12 *HCF Hundred Cubic Feet ** The rates above reflect a 40 percent increase. A 70 percent rate increase was presented to residents of CSA 7 Zone 2 by CDI at a community meeting held on February 12, 2026, and was also presented to the Board on March 10, 2026. On May 5, 2026, the Board approved an interfund loan of $35,000 from CDI reserves that reduces the proposed rate increase from 70 percent to 40 percent. CSA 7 Zone 2 will repay this loan over four years. Stand by Parcels will increase by the Consumer Price Index (3.0%). Notice is further given that at the time, date and place stated above, the Board of Supervisors shall hear and consider all objections or protests, if any, to the benefit assessment/service charge reports. The reports will be on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors on or before May 26, 2026 and will be available for public review. Upon the conclusion of the Public Hearing on the above assessments/service charge reports, the Board of Supervisors may adopt, revise, change, reduce or modify any of the reports as needed.
