PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the California State Park and Recreation Commission (Commission), pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 539, 5002.3, 5019.50, 5080.03, 5080.20, et al. of Public Resources Code, Section 11120 et seq. of Government Code, and other applicable law, will meet on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Scotts Valley, CA. Agenda items will include a hearing for consideration of the following department recommendations related to Big Basin Redwoods State Park: Approval of the proposed General Plan Amendment (GPA) and certification of the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The GPA and the Draft and Final EIR for the Reimagining Big Basin Redwoods State Facilities Management Plan and General Plan Amendments are available for review at https://reimaginingbigbasin.org. The documents may undergo modification and will be available on the Park and Recreation Commission Meetings webpage, https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=30545, prior to the Commission meeting, consistent with noticing requirements. The Commission will hold an in-person meeting at the following time and location. Date: July 2, 2026. Location: Four Points by Sheraton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley, 5030 Scotts Valley Drive, Scotts Valley, California, USA, 95066. Time: 9:00 a.m. until adjournment. In addition to the in-person meeting, the virtual hearing will be hosted on the video conferencing service Zoom. Members of the public may comment on specific agenda items through Zoom, phone, and in person. A meeting agenda and a link to register to speak at the virtual hearing will be available on the Commission webpage by Monday, June 22, 2026, in compliance with California Government Code Sections 11125(a) and (b).
