PUBLIC NOTICE: Torrance Unified School DistrictProvisional Appointment for School Board Member - Trustee Area B Due to the resignation of School Board Member, Mrs. Jasmine Park effective February 18 2026, the Board of Education has filled the vacant seat, in Trustee Area B, by provisional appointment. Mrs. Catherine Bones was selected as the appointee effective April 20, 2026, and will serve until December 14, 2026. A consolidated special election will take place on November 3, 2026 to fill the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term (until 2028). This will become an effective appointment unless a petition calling for a special election pursuant to Education Code 5091 is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the provisional appointment.Daily BreezePublished: 4/23/26
