NOTICE OF DATE FIXED FOR SUBMITTING
ARGUMENTS AND REBUTTALS ON MEASURE F TO BE VOTED ON AT THE SPECIAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD IN THE COUNTY OF SUTTER ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of the County Service Area "F", in the County of Sutter, that in accordance with the provisions of the California Election Code, a special election will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in said District, at which Measure F shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the District and voted upon:
Shall the measure funding fire protection and emergency medical services in CSA-F, including firefighter staffing, training, fire apparatus and equipment, and fire station maintenance and improvements, by enacting an ordinance repealing the existing 1997 per-square-foot special tax and replacing it with a parcel-based special tax, generating approximately $2,200,000 annually in additional revenue until repealed by voters be adopted?
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN arguments for or against may be submitted to the Sutter County Elections Office at 1435 Veterans Memorial Circle, Yuba City, California no later than 3:30 p.m. on May 22, 2026. This has been determined by the County Clerk to be a reasonable date based upon the time necessary to prepare and submit for printing in the Sample Book. No argument shall exceed 300 words in length.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that if arguments are submitted both for or against the proposed measure, the argument authors may prepare and submit rebuttal arguments not to exceed 250 words. The Sutter County Clerk has fixed 3:30 p.m. on May 29, 2026, as the deadline for submittals.
