NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY AND COUNTY OF BROOMFIELD THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING IS A REQUEST FOR COMMENT AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF THE 2025 CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PLAN FOR CDBG/HOME FUNDS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT Notice is hereby given that the following public hearing will be held before the City Council at the time, date, and place described below. All persons interested in the hearing described below are requested to attend and aid the City Council in its consideration of the matter. Following staff reports, an opportunity will be afforded to those persons desiring to speak on the plan update. The Public Hearing is for: Collection of public comments on the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Plan (CAPER) for CDBG/HOME Funds to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Within the 5-year Consolidated Plan, communities assess housing and general community needs through data analysis and citizen input in order to make effective choices in allocating the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and funds provided by the federal government. In the interest of enhancing resident participation, the City and County of Broomfield requests comment on their Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), as authorized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the period Jan. 1, 2025 Dec. 31, 2025. The CAPER describes accomplishments achieved during the 2025 Program year through the implementation of programs and activities under the CDBG and HOME programs, reports progress in meeting overall Consolidated Plan goals and priorities, and describes actions taken to affirmatively further fair housing, foster efforts, and eliminate barriers to affordable housing, support and participate in the Continuum of Care to serve the homeless, reduce lead-based paint hazards, enhance coordination with service providers, and assist persons and families to reduce poverty.
