ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of Old Mill Road (SCOP) will be received by the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners at Holmes County Building Department located at 107 East Virginia Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425 until 3:00 p.m. local time on June 18, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of approximately 737 tons of asphalt pavement, 1,338 square yards of base, 1.70 gross miles of striping, 5 proposed road signs, and 35 LF of pipe (water/sewer/storm), and 2 mitered end sections.
A Non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held May 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. local time, Holmes County Board Office located at 107 E Virginia Ave, Bonifay, FL 32425
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis and awarded based on the lump sum of the unit prices.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available as portable document format (PDF) files e-mailed free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Engineer of Records Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Engineer Offices receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The nonrefundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $250 per set, payable to Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc. , plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding
Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the
Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.
Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
