REQUEST FOR BIDS CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FLORIDA HVAC EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Daytona Beach Shores, Volusia County, Florida, is accepting bids for the replacement of the air-cooled chiller, associated chilled water pumps, two (2) central station chilled water air handling units, approximately thirty (30) variable air volume terminal units with electric heat, and related accessories and components for the Public Safety Department at 3050 S. Atlantic Avenue. Submissions will be received until May 26, 2026 at 2:00pm, at which time the receiving period will close. Any submission received after the time and date specified above will be returned unopened. Specifications are on file and available for inspection on DemandStar and in the office of the City Clerk, who can be contacted at (386) 763-5364. Copies thereof may be obtained upon application to said office. Interested parties shall submit their proposals via the DemandStar On-line system. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals and to waive any or all non-substantial irregularities in items received whenever such rejection is in the best interest of the City, or to accept the proposal which best serves the interest of the City. In accordance with Florida Statutes 287.133(2)(a), any person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017 for Category Two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.
