NOTICE OF INTENT FOR APPROVAL
OF A
PRETREATMENT PROGRAM


In accordance with Chapter 62-625, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), Lake Wales (City) has submitted for approval by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Department), a request for approval of a pretreatment program for its wastewater facility. The Department has made a preliminary determination that this proposed pretreatment program satisfies the requirements of Rule 62-625.500, F.A.C.

Interested persons may submit written comments on the submission. All written comments submitted in a timely manner will be considered by the Department in the decision on whether to approve the submission. In accordance with paragraph 62-625.510(2)(c), F.A.C., this public notice comment period will end thirty (30) days from the date of publication.


Any interested person may request a public hearing concerning this proposed pretreatment program. Such a public hearing is for informational purposes only. The request for public hearing must be filed with the Department within 30 days of the publication of this notice. Persons requesting a public hearing must state their interest in the matter and reasons for why such a hearing is warranted. A public hearing will be held if there is significant public interest.
