NOTICE OF HISTORIC TREE REMOVAL The City of New Smyrna Beach hereby gives Notice of the following Historic Tree Removal application: REVIEW AND CONSIDER HISTORIC TREE REMOVAL APPLICATION NO. HTR-01-26, A REQUEST FOR A HISTORIC TREE REMOVAL OF THREE (40, 41, AND 45 DBH) TREES ON THE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FOR GBT REALTY CORPORATION AT 507 SOUTH MYRTLE AVENUE, PARCEL ID# 7419-23-00-0041. A public hearing on this Historic Tree Removal application will be held at the regular City Commission meeting on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the City Commission Chambers, 214 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Interested persons may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Historic Tree Removal approval. Copies of the proposed Historic Tree Removal application may be obtained by mail or inspected in person at the Office of the City Clerk, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168, Telephone (386) 410-2630. Pursuant to Sec. 166.041(3)(a), F.S., all interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed Historic Tree Removal. RECORD IS REQUIRED TO APPEAL Pursuant to Sec. 286.0105, F.S., if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission at this public meeting, the person will need a record of the proceedings and for such purposes may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
