OKEECHOBEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD POLICY In accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, Chapter 120, Florida Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Okeechobee County School Board will consider amendment or adoption of the School Board policies listed below at their meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in Room 303 of the School Board Administrative Office at 700 S.W. 2nd Avenue, Okeechobee. Copies of the proposed amendment or adoption are available in the Superintendent's Office, Room 307, 700 S.W. 2nd Avenue, Okeechobee. Adoption of Recording of Parent-Staff Meetings Board Policy 3.17 I. This policy is to establish clear guidelines regarding the recording of meetings between parents/guardians and district staff. II. Proposed adoption addresses consent requirements, permitted uses of recordings, and the protection of student and employee privacy. III. Legal authority for this policy is F.S. 1001.32, 1003.02, 1002.20. Laws implemented are 34 C.F.R. 300.322 and 300.501; 316.305, 934.03, 1003.57 F.S. State Board Of Education Rules 6A-6.03311. IV. This policy amendment will not affect individuals from an economic standpoint. Amendment of School Health Services Board Policy 5.53*+ I. This policy is to ensure the districts responsibilities for providing school health services, ensure compliance with state and federal health requirements. II. Proposed revisions reflect Legislative requirements from F.S. 1006.041. III. Legal authority for this policy is F.S. 1001.41, 1001.42. Laws implemented are 381.0056, 394.463, 1001.21, 1002.20, 1006.041, 1006.062, 1014.06 F.S. IV. This policy amendment will not affect individuals from an economic standpoint. Amendment of Professional Ethics Board Policy 6.56* I. The purpose of this policy is to set forth ethical standards and expectations for professional conduct by district employees. II. Proposed revisions reflect Legislative requirements from F.S. 1001.42(7) and 113.312. III. Legal authority for this policy is F.S. 1001.41, 1001.42. Laws implemented are 112.313, 112.3142, 1001.42, 1012.01, 1012.22, 1012.27, 1012.796, F.S. State Board Of Education Rules 6A-10.081. IV.
