This is notification that the St. Johns River Water Management District (District) has received the Individual Consumptive Use Permit (CUP) permit application(s) listed below:
Sunshine Water Services Company, 200 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714-4027 Consumptive Use Permit application #2700-32, received August 12, 2024. The applicant requests the use of 2.205 million gallons per day (mgd) of groundwater from the Upper Floridan aquifer for public supply use, and 0.521 mgd of groundwater from the Lower Floridan aquifer for public supply use. The withdrawals used by this project will consist of Groundwater from FAS - Lower Floridan Aquifer via 1 proposed well; Connection Point from Lusi South via 1 active connection point; Groundwater from FAS - Upper Floridan Aquifer via 14 active wells in Lake County, located in Section 32, Township 22 South, Range 26 East; Section 2, Township 23 South, Range 25 East; Sections 1, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 2, 23, 24, 31, 32, 35, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, Township 22 South, Range 25 East; Sections 1, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 2, 23, 24, 31, 32, 35, 36, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, Township 23 South, Range 26 East. This project is known as LUSI North. The withdrawals used by this project will consist of Groundwater from FAS - Lower Floridan Aquifer via 1 active well and 1 proposed well; Groundwater from FAS - Upper Floridan Aquifer via 2 active wells in Lake County, located in Sections 10, 11, 14, 15, 22, 23, 26, 27, 3, 4, 8 and 9, Township 24 South, Range 26 East. This project is known as LUSI South.

The District issues two types of Individual consumptive use permits (CUPs) staff-issued CUPs and Governing Board-issued CUPs. Decisions on Individual CUP application(s) will be made at either a District service center (if staff issued) or at District's Governing Board meeting where permit applications that have not been delegated to District staff will be acted upon. The Governing Board normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month.
Objections, comments, questions, or information regarding an application for an Individual CUP must be made in writing and received by the Office Director, Office of Records and Regulatory Support, P.O. Box 1429, Palatka, FL 32178-1429, or by e-mail at applicationsupport@sjrwmd. com, as soon as possible after the notification of the application receipt. The Permit Application Number or the Project Name should be included in the objection. If the District receives a timely substantial objection, the objector will receive written notice of the District's decision (or intended decision) on the permit application.
A Notice of Decision (or Notice of Intended District Decision) will be provided to persons who timely requested individual notice. A request for individual notice must be received by the Office Director, Office of Records and Regulatory Support, prior to the date of the Notice of Decision (or Notice of Intended District Decisions) is generated.
