NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO TRANSFER AN EXEMPT ENTITY TO A REGULATED UTILITY AND AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORIZATION TO EXTEND SERVICE AREA DOCKET NO. 20260033-WS APPLICATION FOR TRANSFER OF ASSETS OF EXEMPT UTILITY AND AMENDMENT OF CERTIFICATE NO. 347-S BY SUNSHINE WATER SERVICES COMPANY DATE OF CUSTOMER NOTICE 03/12/2026 Notice is hereby given that Sunshine Water Services Company (SWS), has filed an Application for Approval for the transfer to it of the wastewater system owned by Placid Lakes Utilities, Inc. (Placid Lakes) and to amend Wastewater Certificate No. 347-S, to add the following land in Highlands County, Florida, pursuant to Sections 367.045 and 367.071, Florida Statutes, and Rules 25-30.030 and 25-30.037, Florida Administrative Code. SWS is not requesting a change to the current rates and charges that currently apply to Placid Lakes wastewater customers; therefore, your current rates will not be affected by this transfer. Placid Lakes provides service to water and wastewater systems to the Placid Lakes Subdivision in the following described territory in Highlands County, Florida: The following is a simplified legal description of Placid Lakes service territory. For the full legal description, please contact SWS at the contact information below. LEGAL DESCRIPTION Township 37 South, Range 29 East in Sections 9, 10, 11, 14, 22, and 23. Township 37 South, Range 29 East in Section 2, 11, 13, and 24. Common street names affected by the transfer: Catfish Creek Road, Christine Street Northwest, Claremont Avenue, Concord Parkway Northwest, Enos Avenue, Lake Groves Road Northeast, Lake Groves Road Northwest, Placid Lakes Boulevard, Placid View Drive, Seneca Drive Northwest, Tobler Boulevard Northwest, Washington Boulevard Northeast, and Washington Boulevard Northwest.
