NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION
OF A SPECIAL EXCEPTION
NOTICE: A PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Okeechobee County Board of Adjustments and Appeals on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Health Department Auditorium, 1728 NW 9th Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida to consider a Special Exception to allow for warehouse and contractor yard with outdoor storage in a Heavy Commercial (C-2) zoning district. The property owner is CS15, LLC. The applicant is Bond Plumbing Supply, Inc. The property is located on the south side of SW 28th Street, just west of PNC Bank, and is more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 37 SOUTH, RANGE 35 EAST, RUN THENCE SOUTH 8933'30" WEST ALONG THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 666.73 FEET; THENCE RUN SOUTH 0004'00" EAST FOR A DISTANCE OF 24.43 FEET TO A POINT ON THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF WOLFF ROAD FOR THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUE SOUTH 0004'00" FOR A DISTANCE OF 299.70 FEET; THENCE RUN SOUTH 8956'30" WEST FOR A DISTANCE OF 438.47 FEET; THENCE RUN NORTH 0004'00" WEST FOR A DISTANCE OF 296.45 FEET TO A POINT ON THE AFORESAID SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF WOLFF ROAD; THENCE RUN NORTH 8930'30" EAST ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE FOR A DISTANCE OF 438.48 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; SAID LANDS LYING IN AND COMPRISING A PART OF THE SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 37 SOUTH, RANGE 35 EST, CONTAINING 3 ACRES MORE OR LESS.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD AT THIS PUBLIC HEARING. Any person deciding to appeal any decision by the Board of Adjustments and Appeals with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made and that the record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based.
