NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION
OF A SPECIAL EXCEPTION
NOTICE: A PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Okeechobee County Board of Adjustments and Appeals on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Health Department Auditorium, 1728 NW 9th Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida to consider a Special Exception to allow for mini warehouse self storage units and outdoor storage in a Heavy Commercial (C-2) zoning district. The property owner and applicant is Zibeco Corp. The property address is 104 NW 36th Street, and is more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCE AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 28 OF WHISPERING PINES, AS PER THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 3, AT PAGE 25 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF OKEECHOBEE COUNTY, FLORIDA; THENCE NORTH 8943'02" EAST ALONG THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF NORTHWEST 36TH STREET, A DISTANCE OF 195.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE CONTINUE NORTH 8943'02" EAST ALONG SAID SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE, A DISTANCE OF 223.15 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 0004'11" EAST, A DISTANCE OF 600.00 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE 600.00 FEET SOUTH OF AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF- WAY LINE OF NORTHWEST 36TH STREET; THENCE SOUTH 8943'02" WEST ALONG SAID PARALLEL LINE, A DISTANCE OF 418.15 FEET TO A POINT ON THE EAST LINE OF SAID LOT 28 OF THE PLAT OF WHISPERING PINES; THENCE NORTH 0004'11" WEST ALONG SAID EAST LINE, A DISTANCE OF 200.00 FEET TO A POINT ON A LINE 400.00 FEET SOUTH OF AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF NORTHWEST 36TH AVENUE; THENCE NORTH 8943'02" EAST ALONG SAID PARALLEL LINE, A DISTANCE OF 195.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 0004'11" WEST, A DISTANCE OF 400.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

Any person deciding to appeal any decision by the Board of Adjustments and Appeals with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made and that the record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based.
