PUBLIC NOTICE/NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to Section 163.346, Florida Statutes, the City of Orlando City Council, as the governing body of the City of Orlando, Florida, does hereby give public notice of its intention to adopt a resolution in accordance with Section 163.355, Florida Statutes, finding a blighted area to exist in the City of Orlando adjacent to the downtown redevelopment area, and further finding that the rehabilitation, conservation, or redevelopment, or combination thereof, of such area is necessary in the interest of the public health, safety, morals, or welfare of the residents of the City of Orlando. The title of the proposed resolution is: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORLANDO, FLORIDA, RELATING TO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT; FINDING THE EXISTENCE OF BLIGHT CONDITIONS IN AN AREA OF THE CITY OF ORLANDO; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The City of Orlando City Council will consider the resolution at a public meeting to be held on April 6, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2nd floor, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32801. A copy of the proposed resolution and the report documenting the blight conditions is available in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 2nd floor, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32801. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed resolution. Additionally, interested parties are invited to watch the meeting live and may participate by providing public comment during the meeting or submitting written public comment in advance regarding the proposed resolution. The opportunity to provide public comment is available until the designated public comment portion of the item is closed. All items received are public record. All pertinent information about meeting access and participation instructions will be available online at orlando.gov/councilmeeting at least 3 days prior to the meeting. Persons wishing to appeal any official decision made during the meeting, if an appeal is permitted by law, will need a record of the proceedings and for this purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which includes testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
