NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT/NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to Sections 163.346 and 166.041(3)(a), Florida Statutes, the City of Orlando City Council, as the governing body of the City of Orlando, Florida, does hereby give public notice concerning its intention to enact, in accordance with Section 163.387, Florida Statutes, an Ordinance providing for the establishment and funding of a redevelopment trust fund for the City of Orlandos Downtown Community Redevelopment Area, as expanded in 1982, 1990, 2007, and 2026. The title of proposed ordinance number 2026-7 is: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ORLANDO, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO SECTION 163.387, FLORIDA STATUTES (2022), AMENDING ORDINANCES ENACTED ON JULY 12, 1982, JUNE 18, 1990, OCTOBER 23, 2000, JUNE 25, 2007, FEBRUARY 22, 2010, FEBRUARY 10, 2014, JUNE 15, 2015, AND AUGUST 14, 2023 CREATING A COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT TRUST FUND FOR THE DOWNTOWN ORLANDO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA; PROVIDING FOR THE DEPOSIT OF INCREMENT REVENUES ATTRIBUTED TO THE EXPANSION OF THE DOWNTOWN ORLANDO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA; PROVIDING FOR THE CALCULATION OF INCREMENT REVENUES ATTRIBUTED TO THE EXPANSION OF THE DOWNTOWN ORLANDO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA; AMENDING REFERENCES TO THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE DOWNTOWN ORLANDO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AREA TO INCLUDE THE PLAN AMENDMENT APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON APRIL 6, 2026; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The City of Orlando City Council will consider the Ordinance at two public meetings to be held on April 6, 2026 AND April 20, 2026, each beginning at 2:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2nd floor, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32801. The Ordinance may be enacted by the City Council following the second reading on April 20, 2026. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available in the City Clerks Office, City Hall, 2nd floor, 400 South Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32801, during regular working hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or online at orlando.gov. Interested parties may appear at the meetings and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance. Additionally, interested parties are invited to watch the meeting live and may participate by providing public comment during the meeting or submitting written public comment in advance regarding the proposed Ordinance. The opportunity to provide public comment is available until the designated public comment portion of the item is closed. All items received are public record. All pertinent information about meeting access and participation instructions will be available online at orlando.gov/councilmeeting at least 3 days prior to the meeting. Persons wishing to appeal any official decision made during the meeting, if an appeal is permitted by law, will need a record of the proceedings and for this purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which includes testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
