LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on April 6, 2026 at 5:00 P.M at The Villages Sumter County Service Center 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood, FL 34785 to consider the following application: Case No: ZON26-000007 Applicant: James Wade III General Location: Unincorporated area North of C 478A and West of SR 50 Legal Description: Begin at the NE corner of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 22, Township 22 South, Range 22 East, Sumter County, Florida, run N.885942 West along North line of said SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 a distance of 625.23 feet, thence S.175221 West, 300.87 feet to the Northerly right-of-way of State Road 478 and a point hereby designated as Point A, Return to Point of Beginning, run S.02713 West 629.04 feet to Northerly right-of-way of State Road 478, thence Northwest along said Northerly right-of-way of State Road 478, 796.37 feet to Intersection of aforementioned Point A. Requested Action: Rezoning on 7.5 acres MOL from Rural Residential Minimum Five Acres with Conventional Housing (RR5C) to Rural Residential Minimum Five Acres with Optional Housing (RR5) to permit the placement of one (1) Class B mobile home. The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master will be presented to the Board of Sumter County Commissioners at a Public Hearing on April 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163. The proposed change may be inspected by the public at the Planning and Floodplain Division, The Villages Sumter County Service Center, 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any action taken by an above named Board respect to any matter considered during any meeting of such Board, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record may include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
