LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on April 6, 2026 at 5:00 P.M at The Villages Sumter County Service Center 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood, FL 34785 to consider the following application: Case No: ZON26-000009 Applicant: Christopher Pierson General Location: Villages of Sumter area West of Soledad Way and South of Nueva Place Legal Description: Lot 118, THE VILLAGES OF SUMTER UNIT NO. 7, according to the plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 4, Page(s) 113, 113A through 113E, inclusive, of the Public Records of Sumter County, Florida. Requested Action: Variance request to reduce road right-of-way setback from 20 to 17 for an expanded residential garage. The proposed change may be inspected by the public at the Planning and Floodplain Division, The Villages Sumter County Service Center, 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays. Contact the Planning and Floodplain Division at 352-689-4400 or pz@sumtercountyfl.gov with questions. Interested parties are encouraged to appear at these hearings and provide comments regarding the proposed application. Those requiring assistance may call 352-689-4400. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any action taken by an above named Board respect to any matter considered during any meeting of such Board, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record may include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. Only those persons receiving mailed notice in accordance with the requirements of Sec 13-314 of the Sumter County Land Development Code shall be qualified as affected persons for the purpose of examining witnesses during the noted hearings. #01300357 March 26, 2026
