BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT Meeting Date : April 21, 2025 Proposed Title/Reference : High Impact Period Special Events Exemptions : This ordinance is not exempt under 125.66(3)(c), F.S. Summary of Proposed Ordinance and Statement of Public Purpose to be Served : This ordinance expands the special event ordinance contained in Article VII of Chapter 5 to the rest of unincorporated Bay County during the Spring Break period, as defined in Chapter 3 and during any High Impact Period, as defined in Chapter 15. It also modifies the definition of a special event specifically for this ordinance. Estimate of Direct Economic Impact on Private/For Profit Businesses : (a) Estimate of Direct Business Compliance Cost : Unknown. Compliance costs will be dependent on qualifying events during that period. (b) New Charges/Fees on Businesses Impacted : Application fees range from $50 to $350 based on the size of the event.
