NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF
PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, that the City Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Hall of Altamonte Springs, 225 Newburyport Avenue, Altamonte Springs, Florida, on June 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, to consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 1844-26 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING CHAPTER 28, LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, BY AMENDING ARTICLE I., GENERAL PROVISIONS, SECTION 1.2.1, DEFINITIONS, TO ADOPT CERTAIN DEFINITIONS RELATING TO THE QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION REVIEW PROCESS; BY AMENDING ARTICLE IV., SITE PLANS, DIVISION 2., GENERAL PROCEDURES FOR SECURING APPROVAL OF PRELIMINARY AND FINAL SITE PLANS, TO SET FORTH THE CITYS QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION REVIEW PROCESS FOR DEVELOPMENT OR REDEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS; BY AMENDING ARTICLE V., SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, DIVISION 2., PROCEDURES FOR SECURING APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION PLANS, TO REVISE THE SUBDIVISION APPROVAL PROCESS; BY AMENDING DIVISION 3., REQUIRED SUBMITTALS, TO SET FORTH THE CITYS QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATION REVIEW PROCESS FOR SUBDIVISION PLANS; PROVIDING FOR A BUSINESS IMPACT ESTIMATE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION, CORRECTION OF SCRIVENERS ERRORS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
If the ordinance is passed on first reading, the City Commission will schedule, at such reading, a time for the second and final reading to consider the adoption of the ordinance.
At either of the two readings of the ordinance, interested parties may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. The hearings on such ordinance may be continued from time to time until final action is taken by the City Commission. If anyone decides to appeal any decision on this ordinance, the person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, is made. The City of Altamonte Springs does not provide this verbatim record.
