NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Destin Local Planning Agency will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 5:30 P.M., at Destin City Hall Annex, 4100 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida, to consider the following:
1) A Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 26-16-LC relating to the amending of Land Development Code Article 3 - Definitions and Article 11 Coastal Management and Conservation to amend the definition of Beach for consistency.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA, AMENDING ARTICLE 3 DEFINITIONS AND ARTICLE 11 COASTAL MANAGEMENT AND CONSERVATION OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF BEACH FOR CONSISTENCY WITH THE JURISDICTIONAL LIMITS SET FORTH WITHIN THE CITY CHARTER; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
2) A Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 26-18-PC relating to the amending of Comprehensive Plan Chapter 13 - Glossary for consistency.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 13 GLOSSARY OF THE CITYS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF BEACH FOR CONSISTENCY WITH THE JURISDICTIONAL LIMITS SET FORTH WITHIN THE CITY CHARTER; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
3) A Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 26-07-LC relating to the renumbering and renaming of Land Development Code Article 16 - Signs to a new Article 8 Sign Regulations.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA, RENUMBERING AND RENAMING ARTICLE 16 SIGNS, OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO A NEW ARTICLE 8 SIGN REGULATIONS; MODIFYING, AMENDING AND UPDATING CITY SIGN REGULATIONS AS PROVIDED HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Copies of the above-mentioned subject may be requested by public records request. Please call (850) 837-4242 for the City Clerk. The public is encouraged to provide written and/or verbal comments on the above-mentioned matters.
All persons are advised that, if any person decides to appeal any decision made at any of these meetings, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, they need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Florida Statutes 286.0105).
