SECOND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
FLORIDA SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
The City of Fort Meade plans to apply to Florida Commerce for a Federal Fiscal Year 2026 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the Neighborhood Revitalization category in the amount of $5,000,000 .
The activities, dollar amounts, and estimated percentage of benefit to low- and moderate-income persons are as follows:

The City of Fort Meade proposes to construct public recreational improvements through the development of a new community splash pad and amphitheater facility. Proposed improvements may include site preparation, utility connections, drainage improvements, ADA-accessible pathways, lighting, landscaping, seating areas, recreational splash pad, performance infrastructure, safety features, and related public amenities designed to enhance recreational opportunities, support community gatherings, and improve quality of life for residents.
The City of Fort Meade does not expect that anyone will be displaced because of CDBG-funded activities. If any person is displaced because of the planned activities, the City will assist them as described in the Citys anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at City Hall.
A public hearing to provide citizens with an opportunity to comment on the application will be held at:

Written comments should be submitted no later than Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 1:00 a.m.
A copy of the final application will be available for review at City Hall no later than the close of business on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The application will be submitted to Florida Commerce on the published application deadline of May 20, 2026.
