Public Hearing — 1007 West Main Street, Inverness, FL

The Citrus County School Board will hold a Regular Meeting; 4 :00p.m., and a Public Hearing; 5:00p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the Board Room of the District Services Center located at 1007 West Main Street, Inverness, Florida.
The Regular Meeting is to discuss and act upon business that needs to come before the Board. The Public Hearing is to adopt Policy 2.29 (Repeal) Citrus County School Board Police Department, Policy 3.40 (Update) Safe and Secure Schools, Policy 3.403 (Repeal) Safe and Secure Schools School Guardian and Policy 3.403 (Rewrite) Safe and Secure Schools Chris Hixon, Coach Aaron Feis and Coach Scott Beigel Guardian Program, Policy 3.49 (Update) Citrus County School Board Owned Canine (Dog), and Policy 6.30 (Update) Violation of Local, State and/or Federal Laws.
If any person decides to appeal a decision made by the Board, with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, he may need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record should include testimony and evidence upon which his appeal is to be based.
