NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
By the City Commission for the City of Leesburg, Florida
to Consider a Petition to Amend the Boundaries of the
Grace Groves Community Development District

DATE: April 27, 2026 (First Reading)
May 11, 2026 (Second Reading/ Public Hearing)

TIME: 5:30 P.M.

LOCATION: City Hall, Third Floor Commission Chambers
501 West Meadow Street
Leesburg, Florida 34748

In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, a public hearing will be held by the City Commission for the City of Leesburg, Florida, to consider an ordinance to adopt an amendment to Ordinance Nos. 24-33 and 25-67 and amend the boundaries of the Grace Groves Community Development District (District).

The District is comprised of 730.35 acres, more or less, generally located south of Dewey Robbins, west of South Dewey Robbins Road, east of Bridges Road and north of Blue Cedar Road, entirely within the City of Leesburg, Florida. The District has submitted a petition to amend the boundary of the District by removing 36.69 acres, more or less, for an amended total of approximately 693.66 acres, more or less.

Copies of the petition and the proposed ordinance are open to public inspection at the City Clerks Office, 501 West Meadow Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748, during regular business hours. For more information, call (352)728-9786.

All interested persons and affected units of general-purpose government shall be given an opportunity to appear at the hearing and present oral or written comments on the petition. Any persons or affected unit of general-purpose local government, who wish to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this public hearing will need a record of the proceedings. For that purpose the person or unit of general-purpose local government may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made that includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
