LAKE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD NOTICE OF PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT &POLICY GUIDE AND STUDENT PROGRESSION PLAN FOR 2026-2027 Notice is hereby given that THE SCHOOL BOARD OF LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, will consider revisions to the Code of Student Conduct & Policy Guide and the Student Progression Plan for 2026-2027 (for tentative approval) at the May 11, 2026, Regular School Board Meeting, 6:00 pm in the Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Bldg., 315 W. Main St., Tavares, FL. This will be following the review held on May 4, 2026, Workshop, at 9:30 am in the Board Room of the Lake County School District Office, 201 W. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, FL. The purpose is to amend/develop and update the documents and eliminate redundant and obsolete language. The effect is that these documents will be current and incorporate best practices. The fiscal impact is approximately $10,000 for printing of the Code of Conduct & Policy Guide. Any person affected by a proposed policy, policy revision or repeal of policy, may within 21 days following notice of proposal to adopt, repeal such policy, or final approval, file a written request with the Board for a hearing on the proposed action. Copies of the Code of Student Conduct & Policy Guide and Student Progression Plan will be available for inspection at no cost in the Superintendents Office at 201 W.
