NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS The Special Magistrates appointed by the Value Adjustment Board will conduct hearings on petitions filed for valuation of real property and tangible personal property. The following hearing dates are scheduled for the 2025 tax year. Additional dates may be added based on the volume of petitions received or canceled based on petitions withdrawn. In the event that additional hearing dates are scheduled, a notice of the same will be published. May 8 Hearings before the Special Magistrates begin at 9 a.m., or soon thereafter, in the Board Chambers, second floor, Lake County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares, FL. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
