CITY OF MARATHON, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS The City of Marathon City Council will hold a final public hearing on Items 1 and 2 below Tuesday May 12, 2026. The City of Marathon Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Items 3 and 4 below on Monday May 18, 2026. The City of Marathon City Council will hold a public hearing on Items 3 and 4 below on Tuesday June 9, 2026, and a final public hearing on Item 3 below on Tuesday July 14, 2026. ITEMS FOR PUBLIC HEARING: 1. An Ordinance By The City Of Marathon, Florida, Amending The Citys Comprehensive Plan, Amending Policy 1-4.1.2 Specific Standards And Requirements For Workforce-Affordable Housing; Providing For Severability; Providing For The Repeal Of Conflicting Provisions; Providing For The Transmittal Of This Ordinance To Florida Commerce; And Providing For An Effective Date Upon The Approval Of This Ordinance By Florida Commerce. 2. Interested parties may appear at the public hearing(s) and be heard with respect to the proposed items. Copies of the applications are available from the City of Marathon Planning Department located at 9805 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
