NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Board (P&Z)/Local Planning Agency (LPA), and City Council of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida calls for a Public Hearing to be held at Melbourne City Hall. The Hearing before the P&Z Board/LPA will be held at the Melbourne City Hall Council Chamber, located at 900 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, Florida on May 7, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in the following requests. The hearing of all items before City Council will be held in the Council Chamber in City Hall on May 26, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING FINDING OF CONSISTENCY (FOC2026-0005), ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT (TEXT2026-0005) AND LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS TEXT AMENDMENT (TEXT2026-0006) CERTIFICATE OF ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION: This Public Hearing is called to consider an Ordinance of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, amending City Code , Chapter 50, Article III, Section 50-53, Permitting; as it relates to Ordinance No. 2005-120, amending City Code , Part III, Appendix B, Article IX, Section 6, Formal Site Plan Review; and amending Part III, Appendix D, Chapter 3, Concurrency, Article X, Mobility, Section 3.102, Procedure and Section 3.103, Payment in Lieu of Construction of Mobility Improvements; Chapter 8, Subdivisions and Platting, Section. 8.4, Definition of Terms; Section 8.5, Procedure for securing approval of subdivisions; Section 8.6, Required Improvements; and Section 8.7, Residential Subdivisions Requesting Expedited Building Permits; and amending Chapter 9, Article VII, Section 9.107, Design Standards, and Section 9.275, Invasive Non-Native Species; Chapter 10, Article I, Section 10.01, Short Title and Intent, and Section 10.03, Time of Payment, and Section 10.09, Impact Fee Agreements and Security Requirements; providing for severability and interpretation; providing for the repeal of ordinances and resolutions inconsistent herewith; providing an effective date; and providing an adoption schedule. signed Cheryl Dean, AICP Planning Manager Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by this Board, agency, or meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
