NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Board (P&Z)/Local Planning Agency (LPA), and City Council of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida calls for a Public Hearing to be held at Melbourne City Hall. The Hearing before the P&Z Board/LPA will be held at the Melbourne City Hall Council Chamber, located at 900 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, Florida on March 5, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in the following requests. The hearing of all items before City Council will be held in the Council Chamber in City Hall on March 24, 2026, at the hour of 6:30 p.m.


PUBLIC HEARING  ANNEXATION (ANNX2025-0006), COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT *MAJOR AMENDMENT* (MAP2025-0014), THE PINES WEST PUD : This Public Hearing is called to consider Ordinances of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, for the following requests on a 120.65 acre property: annexation; amending the Melbourne Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use Map, as it relates to Ordinance No. 2009-48 , by establishing a Low Density Residential Future Land Use, located east of the Saint Johns Heritage Parkway, south of the Melbourne Tillman C-63 canal, and north of the Melbourne Tillman C-54 canal.


PUBLIC HEARING  FINDING OF CONSISTENCY (FOC2026-0001), LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS TEXT AMENDMENT (TEXT2026-0001) CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANY: This Public Hearing is called to consider an Ordinance of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, amending City Code Part III, Appendix D, Chapter 13, Buildings and Building Regulations; Article II, Building; Certificate of Occupancy Requirements.


PUBLIC HEARING  ANNEXATION (ANNX2024-0010), COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT *MINOR AMENDMENT* (MAP2026-0005) AND ZONING AMENDMENT REQUESTS (MAP2025-0006) 1634 PINE HILL DR: This Public Hearing is called to consider Ordinances of the City of Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, for the following requests on 0.2 acres of property: annexation; amending the Melbourne Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use Map, as it relates to Ordinance No. 2009-48, by establishing Low Density Residential Future Land Use; and amending the Official Zoning Map as it relates to Ordinance No. 2005-120 by establishing R-1A ( Single-Family Low Density Residential District zoning, located on the north side of Pine Hill Drive, east of North Wickham Road, and south of Kingston Lane.
