NOTICE OF SPECIAL EXCEPTION The City of New Smyrna Beach hereby gives Notice of the following Special Exception application: REVIEW AND CONSIDER SPECIAL EXCEPTION APPLICATION NO. SE-02-26, A REQUEST FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ALLOW AN EXISTING CAR DEALERSHIP AND REPAIR SHOP TO EXPAND THEIR OPERATION AT 1313 N. DIXIE FREEWAY IN THE B-3 HIGHWAY SERVICE BUSINESS DISTRICT. THE PARCEL IS LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF N. DIXIE FREEWAY, ACROSS FROM INDUSTRIAL PARK AVENUE. PAR-CEL ID# 7438-01-00-0210. A public hearing on this Special Ex-ception application will be held at the regular City Commission meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the City Commission Chambers, 214 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Flo-rida. Interested persons may ap-pear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Spe-cial Exception approval. Copies of the proposed Special Ex-ception application may be ob-tained by mail or inspected in per-son at the Office of the City Clerk, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168, Telephone (386)410-2630. Pursuant to Sec. 166.041(3)(a), F.S., all interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed Special Exception. RECORD IS REQUIRED TO APPEAL Pursuant to Sec. 286.0105, F.S., if any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission at this public meeting, the person will need a record of the proceedings and for such purposes may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evi-dence upon which the appeal is to be based.
